ARCHIVING WOODWORKING PROJECTS
All sorts of carpentry projects, from small to considerable — furniture pieces to construction work. I reuse and restore discarded wood to improve the ever-changing living spaces of my migrant life, cultivating problem-solving skills and reaffirming my resilience in a late-capitalist world. Working with found material is inherently contextual — and although choices are shaped by limits, they often lead to unexpected solutions that deepen your appreciation for both the material and the object it becomes. Also, I do avoid screws, but I’m no carpenter.

TRANSFORMING A DERELICT OFFICE SPACE INTO A RESIDENTIAL UNIT
The rehabilitation and remodeling into an airy penthouse apartment of a former 55m² office space in the building (edifício) ‘Lider’ on the vibrant and somewhat infamous Avenida Amaral Peixoto, with a sustainability-first approach, low budget, and a DIY attitude.

Urban Ociosity
A visual reasearch and photography based approach to surveying the ociosity levels of urban real estate in the Centro district of Niteroi. Part of a wider research and master thesis by befriended civil engineering student.

Voronoi Mosaic
A bathroom wall tiling with the design being a direct transposition of a Voronoi diagram representing the spatial distribution of ociose and subutilized real estate in the surrounding neighborhood.
